On the week-end I competed my 2m WA5VJB Cheap Yagi by soldering it all up; hot gluing the connections (for some mechanical strength); and trimming the little extra bit on the hook (that went past the boom). SWR was all checked (and mostly due to trimming) now seems to mainly centre around 145MHz but still has less than 1.1 all the way down to 144 and up to about 146. So that'll be fine for where I wish to use it – 144.200MHz.
Hopefully this week – maybe Tuesday (tomorrow) – I can get out before work and give it a go while the weather is still stable. Will let you all know when I finally get to give it a go.
